On Jan. 19, 2011, Silver Vase Nursery, an American grower specializing in orchids,  proudly introduces the Blue Mystique, the world’s first blue orchid.

The Blue Mystique blue orchid is not painted or hybridized. It is the result of a patented process that infuses white Phalaenopsis orchids with a special chemical. This technique has been perfected after many years of research and testing, using naturally derived elements.

The Blue Mystique’s bright, blue blooms is a showstopper! Exceptional in any setting, Blue Mystique adds drama, mystery and flair to any decor. They would be perfect for weddings! Its long-lasting, lovely blooms shine electric blue on a dramatic single or double spike.

“We’re pleased to give a first look at the hottest new variety the orchid world has seen in years,” said Silver Vase CEO Andrew Bartha. “Blue Mystique is truly the most unique orchid on the market.”

Blue Mystique thrives in low to medium light and comes in a 5 inch pot. Keep the soil moist. Give them plenty of clean air and moisture.

Silver Vase debuted the Blue Mystique Orchid at the Tropical Plant Industry Exhibition (TPIE) in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, January 19-21, 2011.
