Administrative Professionals Day 2015

Organizations across the globe heavily rely on their support staff to keep the ship sailing smoothly. Without dedicated, reliable, hardworking employees, many companies would quickly run aground in a massive shipwreck.

The very first Administrative Professionals Day was held in 1952, and is now one of the most celebrated workplace holidays observed in a number of countries worldwide. The day grew out of the massive demand for positions to be filled during World War II. Women and men alike took to manning new roles on home territory, keeping their country’s administrative needs flowing.  Today, more than 475,000 administrative professionals are employed in Canada.

Treat your Administrative Professionals to the gift flowers, chocolates, a premium gift basket, or, if you are feeling particularly appreciative, perhaps an annual bonus or extra time off. One thing is for sure, if the boss forgets this holiday, it’ll be at their peril!
